Makerspace
"Making is fundamental to what it means to be human. We must make, create and express ourselves to feel whole. There is something unique about making physical things. These things are like little pieces of us and seem to embody portions of our souls." Mark Hatch The Maker Movement Manifesto
Did you know Hallinan has a Makerspace? It is the small room right off the library, and is staffed by our very own Library Technology Assistant, who has personally championed this creative space. What’s a Makerspace? A Makerspace promotes STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) learning by exposing our students to coding and video game creation (bloxels), building (magna tiles) and engineering (marble run), and various craft projects. Stop by and check it out!
